Nothing brings people together like the aroma of a slow-cooked meal after a day outdoors. Whether you’re spending the weekend at a mountain cabin, camping in your RV, or enjoying the sea breeze at your favorite beach destination, your VitaClay Nourishing Pot lets you prepare comforting, home-cooked meals with almost no effort.
This Moroccan-inspired lamb tagine is rich yet balanced. Tender lamb slowly simmers with sweet prunes, juicy apricots, fragrant spices, and a touch of honey to create a silky sauce that’s perfect for sharing around the table.
Simply prep the ingredients, let your Nourishing Pot do the work, and come back to a meal that tastes like it has been cooking all day.
Serves 4–6
Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Add:
Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring until softened and lightly golden.
Add:
Cook another minute until fragrant.
Add the lamb cubes.
Brown on all sides for about 5–7 minutes.
This step develops a richer, deeper flavor.
Transfer everything to your VitaClay clay pot.
Add:
Cover with the clay lid.
Select Stew and cook for 1½–2 hours, or until the lamb is almost fork-tender.
Add:
Continue cooking on Stew for another 25–30 minutes, allowing the fruit to soften and naturally sweeten the sauce.
Taste and season with salt and pepper.
Remove the cinnamon sticks.
Sprinkle generously with fresh cilantro and toasted almonds.
Serve with warm couscous, steamed rice, or crusty bread to soak up the rich, fragrant sauce.
Unglazed Zisha clay creates gentle, even heat that slowly tenderizes tougher cuts of meat without drying them out. As the lamb cooks, the fruit, spices, and aromatics naturally blend into a rich sauce with very little attention—making this recipe perfect for relaxed summer weekends away from home.
Whether you’re gathered around a picnic table by the lake, watching the sunset from your RV, or sharing dinner on the deck of a cozy cabin, this comforting tagine brings the warmth of home wherever your adventures take you.
