 Longevity Steamed Yams Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes were the center of the Okinawa diet, along with yam leaves and bitter melon.

Ingredients:

  • sweet potatoes / yams
  • 3 cups of water

Directions:

1.  Add 3 cups water and bamboo steamer in your clay pot

2. Set on fast or stew to steam for 30 minutes or an hour if it is a full pot of yams.

The yams or sweet potatoes are ready when they are tender when pierced with a fork.
