Sloppy Joes are delicious, messy and fun to eat for everyone. TheyÔÇÖre a fun way to provide food for a group, whether itÔÇÖs for game night, a pot luck or just an evening dinner with the family.

This slight twist on the timeless sando is fun because it uses ground turkey or chicken instead of beef for a lighter take on the macho classic. This makes it guilt-free and great for any night of the week!

VitaClaymakes this normally messy endeavor easy, quick and painless. Just throw everything into the cooker and come back awhile later to pile all of this goodness onto hamburger buns for a quick, easy, delicious meal everyone will love!

Sloppy Jane Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lb ground turkey or chicken
  • 1.5 c tomato sauce (16 oz)
  • 1 ┬Ż c broth
  • ┬╝ c ketchup
  • 1 T brown sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1 T minced garlic
  • 1 T chopped thyme
  • 1 T Dijon mustard
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • ┬Ż t real salt
  • ┬Ż t black pepper
  • Hamburger buns

Sloppy Jane Directions:

  1. Crumble ground meat into VitaClay cooker, breaking it up as much as possible
  2. Add all other ingredients, stirring
  3. Close, seal and cook on ÔÇťsoupÔÇŁ for 30 min
  4. Let it rest on warm until ready to serve
  5. Serve over hamburger buns
