Easy Recipe for Ground Turkey: VitaClay Slow Cooker Turkey Meatballs

This is a fun new way of enjoying your turkey that you and your kids will surely love--in the ground turkey form! In fact, you can involve your children in making these slow cooker meatballs, whether it be for a Thanksgiving twist or just a nice summer meal.

Ingredients for VitaClay Slow Cooker Turkey Meatballs:

  • 2 (1 ounce) envelopes dry onion soup mix
  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 (6.8 ounce) package beef-flavored instant rice mix (e.g. Rice A Roni)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • water as needed


Instructions for VitaClay Slow Cooker Turkey Meatballs:

  1. In your slow cooker, combine onion soup mix with enough water to fill slow cooker halfway. Set slow cooker to 212°F (stew) until soup boils.
  2. For the meatballs: In a large bowl combine turkey with rice and flavoring mix and mix together; then add egg beat and mix well. Form mixture into 2 inch balls and brown in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Once the soup is boiling, add browned meatballs to slow cooker and cook on "stew" for 30 minutes.
