How to make L. Rueteri Yogurt in clay pot slow cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 quart whole milk
  • 10 tablets BioGaia Gastrus (L. reuteri starter) or 2-3 Tbsp previous batch of L. reuteri yogurt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Starter: Crush 10 BioGaia Gastrus tablets (L. reuteri starter) using a mortar and pestle or place them in a plastic ziplock bag and crush with a rolling pin. Add in your vitaclay pot.
  2. Pour 1 cup of cold milk. Mix well to combine.
  3. Blend Milk: Blend the milk mixture with 3 more cups of milk. Stir gently to mix the L. reuteri starter thoroughly.
  4. Activate the Yogurt Maker: Put the lid on your Vitaclay yogurt maker and turn on, selecting the “yogurt” setting.
  5. Ferment: Allow the yogurt to ferment for 24 hours.
  6. Refrigerate: Once the yogurt is ready, turn off your Vitaclay. Store the yogurt in the Vitaclay pot in the refrigerator.

Enjoy: Enjoy your L. reuteri yogurt in smoothies, bowls, or topped with fruit, nuts, or your choice of natural sweetener.
