VITACLAY NUTRIENT-DENSE OVERNIGHT MAPLE & BROWN SUGAR OATMEAL

Did you know oats are among the healthiest grains on earth? Oats are a gluten-free whole grain and a rich source of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants needed for healthy well-being.

Studies have shown so many health benefits of oats and oatmeal. Among these are its potency to help in weight loss, lowering high blood sugar levels and reducing risks of heart disease.

Vitamins and minerals we get from oats help us get going for the day. Antioxidants help fight free-radicals that damage our body and fiber is great in providing healthy gut bacteria and helps in good metabolism so you feel lighter and clean from the inside. Plus, it’s great in lowering blood sugar and cholesterol levels. Eating oats increases the feeling of fullness, so if you’re into trimming some excess weight, this is good for you. Include oats in your breakfast every day as it’s a nutrient-dense food perfect for everyone.  It’s great paired with your favorite fruits!

INGREDIENTS

  •  6-8 cups water
  •  2 cups steel cut oats
  •  1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  •  1/4 cup packed light brown sugar (can be adjusted)
  •  1/2 teaspoon salt
  •  1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  •  3/4 cup dried blueberries (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Lightly coat the inside of your  Clay cooker with cooking spray.
  2. Combine all the ingredients in the Clay and stir.
  3. Cook on "soup" setting for 1 hour. Stir thoroughly before serving.
  4. Store leftovers carefully in refrigerator. It can be reheated and enjoyed for 3-4 days.
