Tender Soft Juicy Pork Shanks Slowly Braised in VitaClay Instant Crock Pot Slow Cooker

Slow Cooked Pork Shanks in Instant Crock Pot VitaClay

This fall-out-of-the-bones pork shanks have a perfect texture--tender juicy soft slowly braised for 2 hours in VitaClay Instant Crock Slow Cooker. I cooked it with the skin on as it creates rich collagen that is good for your skin, hair, and nails. Simply add a few herbs, spices, water, wine and sauce. Let the clay pot season and blend the flavor into the meat while cooking!

OMG! It was surprisingly so delicious! The sauce was blended with a full flavor! You can dilute it with water as a bone broth! (After filtering out the fat).

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 lbs pork shanks
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup cooking wine or white dry wine
  • 3-5 green onions, chopped
  • 3-5 tablespoons ginger, threaded
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoon 5 spice powder

Directions:
1. Add all ingredients in your VitaClay pot.
2. Set on "Soup" to cook for 2-3 hours.

Optional: If, only if there are too much liquid in pot, you may take the shanks out of the pot and let the liquid to be cooked down for 10 to 20 minutes to make gravy (but do keep eyes on to not running out of liquid). The other option is to transfer the liquid to a sauce pan on stove top on medium high heat to cook down the liquid until sauce is thickened. Cover the shanks with gravy at serving!
