Holiday Ham in 1-2 hours in VitaClay Fast Crock Pot Slow Cooker

Many traditional meals are centered around a great ham. From Easter to Thanksgiving and Christmas, a delicious, savory-sweet ham on the table is the quintessential American family meal. 

Hams are delicious and when cooked in VitaClay are as easy as 1-2-3. There are only 3 ingredients used in our slow-cooked brown sugar ham recipe, and you can easily customize it with a few more ingredients based on your family's individual tastes. 

It's easy to convert old family recipes to VitaClay, to make them easier to prepare and clean up. Try this great ham recipe at your next family holiday gathering!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups coconut sugar
  • 1 (4-6 pounds) cured bone in picnic ham
  • 4 cups water or broth (if you use VM7900-8, then 2 cups liquid is enough)
Directions: 
  1. Start by spreading 1 ½ cups of coconut sugar on the bottom of the VitaClay pot
  2. Pour the broth on top of the sugar and mix well.
  3. Place the ham flat side down into the VitaClay pot 
  4. Use your hands to rub the remaining coconut sugar into the ham.
  5. Cover and cook on the soup setting for 1-2 hours and it will be ready to serve.
Yield: 24 servings
