Healing Radish Spare Rib Bone Broth Soup

Healing Radish Spare Rib Bone Broth Soup

This delicious soup helps keep our lungs and respiratory system healthy (especially during the Pandemic and now poor airpollution from the wildfire smoke), reduces inflammation, improves digestion, and builds strong bones. Radishes can be very good for the liver and stomach as they act as a powerful detoxifier.

As a member of the superfood cruciferous veggie family, which also includes cabbage and mustard, similar to daikon radish, radishes contain natural sulfur-containing substances. These compounds have been shown to reduce inflammation, protect cells against cancer-causing agents, and interfere with the growth of cancer cells.

Simply add ribs and radishes in your VitaClay to cook for 2 hours.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 -1 lb. spare ribs
  • 1 lb. radish or daikon radish
  • 1-2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 tablespoons cooking wine
  • 2-3 clovers of garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste (I prefer white pepper for richer flavor)
  • 1/2 lemon juice or 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1-2 tablespoons goji berries (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine all ingredients in your vitaclay pot and mix well.
  2. Set on Stew or soup or Slow to cook for 2 hours.
  3. (Optional) add goji berries at the last 10 minutes of cooking.
