Honey Glazed Spare Ribs in VitaClay Instant Crock Pot Slow Cooker
We modified this recipe of Dad's Spare Ribs from ALEX GUARNASCHELLIFood Network to make it in VitaClay. You may use the leftover, if any, to make noodle or veggie soup as well. So you may double the benefits of getting minerals gelatins collagens from the bones when dilute sauce with water making bone broth after enjoyed yummy tender juicy spare ribs!
Ingredients
3 pounds pork spare ribs, on the bone, cut into 1 1/2 by 1 1/2-inch to 1 1/2 by 2-inch pieces
6 tablespoons cider vinegar
4-5 tablespoons dark soy sauce (note: If you don’t have dark sy sauce, light one is okay but simply add 1 tablespoon of molasses and another half tablespoon of sugar to the sauce)
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon freshly grounded pepper
Directions
Place the spare ribs, cider vinegar, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar and sugar inyour smart organic clay multi cooker. Add 1 cup water and stir to combine.
Set on "Stew" to cook for 2 hours.
Thicken the sauce (optional) - transfer some or all of rib sauce to a sauce pan. On medium-high heat and let the sauce reduce until it looks glazy, 5 to 10 minutes. Add the honey and sprinkle with pepper and let the sauce simmer, about 1 minute. Pour the sauce over the spare ribs and mix to combine. Serve immediately.
(optional) you may use the leftover sauce to flavor your veggies or dilute it with water to make noodle soups.
