Lung Nourishing Daikon Radish Rib Bone Broth Soup

Lung nourishing Daikon radish pork rib soup in bone broth in 2 hours in VitaClay.

A friend was suffering excess mucus. Excess mucus production is often caused by irritants like food additives, bacteria and viruses, chemicals, pollution, dust, smoke, and food allergens. Excess mucus is produced so that it can capture these particles and shuttle them out of the body – in the form of coughing, stuffy noses, and more. Daikon radish soup may help relieve these symptoms... you may juice or eat radish in raw salad if your stomach is strong enough to take.

Ingredients:

  • ½ pound baby back ribs, cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1 medium daikon (1 pound), cut into big chunks
  • 3 slices ginger
  • A handful of Dried scallops for tastier 😋 soup (optional)
  • a handful of goji berries (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • salt to taste
  • a touch of white pepper to taste
  • 2 stalks green onion, chopped for topping

Directions:
  1. Cover the pork ribs with cold water in a pot, bring to boil over medium-high heat, cook for a few minutes till the pork ribs have changed color, discard the water, rinse under running water, drain well and transfer to your #clay pot. (Optional)
  2. Add daikon, ginger, vinegar salt pepper and 4 cups water. Set on soup to cook fir 2-3 hours.
  3. Add in the goji berries, simmer for another 5 minutes before removing from heat.
  4. Sprinkle on top fresh chopped green onion to serve.
