Add a signature Spanish rice recipe in your VitaClay menu! This authentic rice dish is best paired with steak, chicken, and Mexican dishes like tacos or enchiladas, yum! I love this comforting rice recipe even more with tostadas or black beans on the side. I always make it a point to prepare big batches ‘cause my family can’t get enough of it! Anyway, it only takes 30 minutes in my VitaClay cooker to cook, so making a bunch of it is not to worry about; I love it when they keep asking for more!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups long-grain rice
  • 1/8 cup oil
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup cilantro (optional)
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 cups water or broth
  • dash cumin
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Add all ingredients in your clay pot. Set on rice cooking -regular to cook automatically or until cooker switches to “warm”-about 30 minutes.
