Quick and Easy Vegetable Broth in Clay

Quick and Easy Vegetable Broth in Clay

Suitable for any VitaClay Cooker!

Vegetable broth is one of my favorite things to make, because it uses up all of my veggie scraps and turns them into something delicious and nutrient  dense.

Talk about turning trash into treasure!

And if you are vegetarian, this is a great way to maximize flavor and nutrition without using animal products. If you eat eggs, you can also add the eggshells to the broth to add even more nutrients from the shells.

  • Step 1:

Save all of your veggie scraps. Anything will work, from carrot tops to onion skins to

      mushroom and celery trimmings.

The best way to save them is to dedicate a container in the fridge or freezer so you can

gather enough scraps to make a pot of broth.

  • Step 2:
Add all of the scraps to the pot and enough water to cover them.
  • Step3:
Cover, push the "slow" button and cook for about an hour
  • Step 4:
Strain and refrigerate to use in all of your favorite recipes.
