Boost Your Breakfast! VitaClay 12 Days of Giving
Winter is the perfect season for a warming bowl of oats. Whole grains are a great start for any productive day but did you know that adding one of the following will really kick your breakfast into overdrive?!
Start with a basic recipe. Check out this video here. Then stir in:
- Grated carrots, zucchini or beets – Yes, get a vitamin/mineral/antioxidant boost + you now have one serving of veggies checked off that to-do list!
- Ceylon cinnamon – this is the “true” cinnamon and it is delicious, sweet and complex. Cinnamon is excellent for helping balance blood sugar.
- Chia seeds, ground flax seeds or hemp hearts – protein, fiber and omega 3 fatty acids.
