Quick n' Easy Buffalo Wings in Clay, ALTON BROWN / Food Network

We converted this tasty recipe from Alton Brown / Food Network to cook in VitaClay. We combined steaming and baking into one pot cooking, using clay as a flavor chamber to enhance the flavor. Simply toss in all ingredient into your clay pot and set it to go! 

You may easily double up the ingredients to make for more servings!

Prep Time: 10 minutes. Cook time: 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Ingredients

12 whole chicken wings

3 ounces unsalted butter

1 small clove garlic, minced

1/2 cup hot sauce*

1/2 cup water or broth*

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Directions

1. Add all ingredients in your clay pot. Mix well.

2. Set on Stew to cook for 30 minutes to an hour (the longer you cook it, the more fat will be separated from the wings...)

3. Remove the wings from the clay pot and transfer to the bowl. Serve warm.

Note: This recipe is good for model of VM7900 or VF7700. If you have VM7800, you need to have 1/2 cup hot sauce and 2 1/2 cups water, total 3 cups liquid)
