My Power Beet Smoothie: One Glass Packed with Nature’s Most Potent Nutrients

My Power Beet Smoothie: One Glass Packed with Nature’s Most Potent Nutrients

Real food. Real energy. Every day.

Every morning, I love starting my day with a vibrant smoothie that’s naturally rich in nutrients. This isn’t about chasing the latest superfood trend—it’s about combining whole foods that work beautifully together.

My favorite blend?

❤️ Raw beet
🍋 Lemon
🍐 Pear
🌿 Moringa
🫚 Fresh ginger
🍅 Tomato
🥬 Celery

Every ingredient brings something unique to the glass.

Why I Use Raw Beet

Many people ask whether beets are healthier cooked or raw.

For smoothies, I choose raw beets because they retain more vitamin C and antioxidant pigments called betalains, while also providing natural dietary nitrates that help your body produce nitric oxide, supporting healthy blood flow and circulation.

The earthy sweetness pairs surprisingly well with fresh lemon and pear.

Why This Combination Works

❤️ Beet

Naturally rich in:

  • Dietary nitrates
  • Folate
  • Potassium
  • Betalains

These nutrients support healthy circulation, antioxidant defenses, and overall wellness.

🍋 Lemon

Adds:

  • Vitamin C
  • Bright flavor
  • Antioxidants

Vitamin C also complements the vegetables by contributing to your overall antioxidant intake.

🌿 Moringa

One of nature’s most nutrient-dense greens, providing vitamins, minerals, and plant compounds that complement the rest of the smoothie.

🫚 Ginger

Adds a fresh, spicy flavor and contains natural phytochemicals that have been studied for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

🍅 Tomato

Provides lycopene, vitamin C, and additional antioxidants.

🥬 Celery

Contributes hydration, potassium, and naturally occurring nitrates.

🍐 Pear

Adds natural sweetness, fiber, and makes the smoothie creamy without refined sugar.

  • 1 small raw beet
  • 1 pear
  • 1 lemon (peeled)

  • 1 tomato

Blend until smooth.

Enjoy immediately.

A Week of Power Smoothies Starts with Steamed Beets

Why I Love It

I don’t believe health comes from one magical ingredient.

It comes from nourishing your body with a variety of colorful whole foods, day after day.

This smoothie gives me a delicious way to enjoy vegetables, fruit, and herbs in one glass—and it’s become one of my favorite morning rituals.

VitaClay Tip

Pair this smoothie with a warm bowl of homemade bone broth or slow-cooked oatmeal from your VitaClay for a breakfast that’s both comforting and nutrient-rich.

Note: If you have a history of kidney stones (especially calcium oxalate stones), ask your healthcare provider whether large amounts of raw beets are appropriate for you, since beets are relatively high in oxalates.
