Easy-To-Find-Ingredient Cough Remedy At Home: VitaClay's All-Natural Healing Smoothie And Tea

Winter indeed is cough weather. Yesterday, I heard my friend Su cough so hard on the phone, so I gave her a quick cough remedy with these simple ingredients (it is much easier to kill the symptoms at an early stage though). Make a warm smoothie or tea using ginger, lemon, and pear with rock sugar or honey. Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties that can ease a dry or asthmatic cough and relax membranes in the airways, which reduces coughing, lemon helps cut through congestion and has strong antibacterial and antiviral properties, pears lubricate the throat and lungs and help dissolve phlegm and cough and honey has a soothing effect on the throat. Healing doesn't always mean resorting to medicines if you can have a cheaper, all-natural healing remedy at home ready in no time.

Ingredients: (1 serving for a smoothie or double or triple it up for making warm tea).

  • 1 pear, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons sliced ginger
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 10 oz warm spring water
  • 1-2 tablespoons Honey or rock sugar (optional)

Directions:
Option 1. Make a glass of warm smoothie- blend all together to make a smoothie and drink it.

Option 2. Make tea - double or triple the ingredients to make multiple servings.

1. Add rock sugar, water, pears in Vitaclay.
2. Squeeze the lemon juice in a glass. Cut the lemon skin in strips then add in your Vitaclay.
3. Set on stew to cook for 30 minutes. Let it sit in warm for 10-20 minutes.
3. When it cools off or until lukewarm temperature, pour the liquid into your glass and stir in lemon juice.
Serve when it’s warm.

Note: it will make a cough worse if you drink a cold smoothie or cold soup.
