Another family dinner favorite is here! Tender garlic-seasoned chicken, pasta, a creamy lemon sauce, and savory capers come together in a comforting meal.
Brown the chicken first for extra flavor, then bring the ingredients together in your VitaClay. Finish with fresh lemon and cream for a dinner worth gathering around.
Whisk together the flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Coat both sides of the chicken in the flour mixture.
Drizzle a large skillet with oil and heat over medium-high heat. Brown the chicken for 1–2 minutes per side. It does not need to be fully cooked at this stage.
Place the chicken in the clay pot in a single layer. Add the pasta and pour the chicken broth over the top.
Check that the liquid amount meets the requirements for your VitaClay model before cooking. Use a tested recipe for your model; do not allow the pot to cook dry.
Cover and selectStew, following the tested cooking time for your model. Check the liquid and pasta during cooking.
Stir in the lemon juice, heavy cream, and capers. Continue cooking until the pasta is tender, the sauce is hot, and the chicken reaches an internal temperature of165°F (74°C).
Taste and adjust the salt and pepper.
Serve warm with additional lemon slices and fresh thyme, if desired.
Creamy lemon sauce, tender chicken, and savory capers make this a meal the whole family can look forward to.
