If you love slow cooking, try this yummy Indian Kheer

Ask any Indian food aficionado and she  would agree that a hearty, festive Indian meal is incomplete without a sumptuous helping of Kheer! You can try making Rice Kheer in your VitaClay slow cooker and we are sure it will bring you great fame amongst your family and friends.

Why cook Rice Kheer in a slow cooker?

  • Unlike conventional cooking you don't need to pay a lot of attention to right temperature or timing while making your Kheer using slow cooker
  • It will invariably turn out creamier and the rice will simply melt in the mouth.
  • It will be flavoured evenly with cardamom powder seeping into rice grains

Here's how to make yummy Rice Kheer in your Vitaclay slow cooker using long grain rice. Ingredients: Slow cooking Indian Kheer

Preparation:

1. Take out rice, wash and rinse until clean

2. Make sure you have all your ingredients in your VitaClay slow cooker. Cover it and then set it to  'High'.

3. Check after one hour to ensure that rice grains do not lump together.

4. Cook while covered for around two more hours, Stir once again for the above reason and cook more for two hours on 'high' 5. The longer your rice kheer cooks, the creamier it will get 6. After slow cooking for adequate time, turn off and allow the Kheer to cool so that you can refrigerate the same

Tips to serve:

You could serve this Kheer  any way yoyu like - chilled or warm. However. make sure that  youi have a put bit of grated nutmeg on top of it.
