Family-Pleasing Slow Cooked Turkey Chilli Recipe

This dish is a favorite for many children and for those of you who are parents, you should consider trying it at home. This dish is very health and nutritious. Hint: you can have this recipe up and ready to serve in about 2 hours!


  • ¼  teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoonful ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 table spoon chili powder
  • 6 oz of tomato paste
  • 1 3/4 cups frozen corn, thawed
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 1 medium green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 small red onion finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 16 ounces kidney beans; rinsed and drained
  • 28 ounces of diced tomatoes; drained
  • 15 ounces black beans; rinsed and drained
  • 14 1/2ounces reduced sodium chicken broth
  • 1 3/4 cups frozen corn, thawed
  • ¼  teaspoon garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • optional toppings: reduced fat sour cream and minced fresh cilantro
  1. In a large nonstick skillet cook your turkey, green pepper, and onions
  2. Cook over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink.
  3. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer then drain
  4. Transfer to the contents into your VitaClay  slow cooker and stir in the tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, broth, corn tomato paste, chili powder, pepper cumin and garlic powder.
  5. Add enough water to partial submerge contents. Then cover and set the timer to about 2 hours.
  6. Enjoy!
