Have you noticed that the VitaClay Chef website has a lot of recipes that are perfect for the VF7700 and VM7900 Models? But what if you have the VM7800 Model? Those recipes just won't work with the big Stock Pot Cooker. The VM7800 is designed to cook fast with lots of liquid and then simmer for a long time if necessary. That is why you can't simply take the standard VF7700/VM7900 recipe and use it as is in the VM7800. But don't worry! You should be able to convert most recipes to use in the VM7800!!
To convert VF7700 and VM7900 recipes to use in the VM7800, there are a couple things to keep in mind:
The VM7800, cooks faster (shorter time in the “Fast” setting, 1-1.5 hours) and requires more liquid. So, if the recipe calls for the VM7900's "Stew" setting at 2 hours with 1 cup of Water/Liquid, you could cook it in the VM7800 on its "Fast" setting for 1.5 hours with 3 cups of Water/Liquid.
For Example, if you were to try our recipe:

This calls for the "Stew" setting at 40 minutes-1 hour, and 1 cup broth. So in your VM7800, you would cook it on the "Fast" setting for 30-45minutes, with 3 cups of broth, very possibly being done at the 30 minute point. Be sure to watch the time since the VM7800 only has 30-minute increments on the timer.
